Walkthrough:

In theory, you can pair any two colonists and make them fall in love, but it's a lot easier if you work with what you've got. And, just for the record, homosexual relationships are possible but seem to be more difficult to cultivate. It helps to pair colonists who are already friends (e.g., Babette and Nailer, Tami and Zhang, Candy and Billy Bob). The remaining relationships require more effort. I paired Hoshi and Kita with Nikolai and Slim, respectively, but you can do what you like.

Use the basic relationship-building skills you learned in earlier levels and in the Relationship & Romance Tutorial.

Because you also need to run a base while playing matchmaker, start slow. At first concentrate only on building friendships. Buy a social area right away and start forging friendships between the pairs who are enemies. Then keep the social area occupied as you build up the others' relationships as well. Make sure each couple's green friendship bars (in the relationship section of the colonist panel) are almost maxed out before you begin serious dating.

In the mean time, build up your facilities. Raise and sell chicken, mine ore and/or harvest cylincsus to bring in credits early on when you need them. Later, you'll have enough credits banked so you can concentrate solely on romance.

Place cleaning posts early and assign several operatives. When you have sufficient funds, buy a training pod and train a few more workers in cleaning. Later you'll be glad you did.

Add a large or medium dome in the center below the bridge for dining and recreational facilities. Gradually add all the dating objects (restaurant, bar or luxury bar, disco, exercise equipment, sauna and Jacuzzi). Once the base is fully equipped, you can sell the industrial objects and turn your focus to romance. (Again, refer to the Relationship & Romance Tutorial if you need dating tips.) Just be sure to keep the power, oxygen and cleaning going. Incoming credits from Blackwater will allow you to buy anything else you may need.

If you've been diligent, after a week or 10 days, you should be just about ready to start your colonists proposing. It can be very frustrating when three or four couples are already in love, you're about to have the final pair pop the question, and then suddenly one of the other couples falls out of love. Then you have to start all over again. To minimize this, try building all relationships as much as possible before anyone proposes. Then, when at least one person in every couple has a greater than 50% chance of accepting his or her partner's proposal, save the game. Have everyone propose at once and hope for the best. If only a few of the couples pair up, try having the remaining couples ask "will you be mine" again. If it still doesn't work, reload and try again. Pretty soon it should work out and you'll have five happy couples.
